To foster Kate's fascination with bird watching, I decided to have Kate make a pair of binoculars out of some ordinary items I'm sure you have around the house. Kate has enjoyed playing with her pair for a few weeks, and the best part is when you are finished with them, they can be recycled!

- two cardboard toilet paper tubes
- string or ribbon
- hole punch
- colored paper
- crayons or markers
- stickers
- glue stick or tape
