I agree daady if a child can do a problem simply because he has memorized it that is not the same as comprehending what they are doing. My son has issues in school and unfortunately this school teaches the same method as julie referred to tutor.com teaching. There has to come a point when these people realize that this method will not work for all and modify it to better serve All students.

I agree that memorizing is useless without comprehending. However, if they can memorize things, it do show that they might have interested on the subject

Of late, tutoring services have become very popular. But, the most popular site is the tutor.com. The fee charged by them is on the high side. But, those who can afford can go for it.

There are several online tutoring services like tutor dot com which are very active online. Apart from regular schools, these tutoring services provide special services online. These are providing good support services to regular schools.

i have tried both online and on site tutorial sessions. basically on site is a lot better than on line especially with kids since the visible presence of the teacher tends to encourage confidence on the part of the student...
